Bowers drafted in 3rd round of USHL draft
Congratulations to Macs forward Shane Bowers on being selected in the USHL draft last night
Shane was drafted in the 3rd round by the Waterloo Blackhawks 38th overall.
The USHL is the United States top tier junior league. They routinely push many players to Division 1 NCAA scholarships and also produce many NHL draft picks.
This caps the third year in a row a Halifax McDonalds player has been selected in the USHL draft (Nick Welsh 2013, Barrett Dachyshyn 2014)
Shane is also expected to be a high pick in the upcoming QMJHL draft.
