Tryouts can wait!  We are extremely excited to have some special guest instructors for our development camp.  This will be a great learning opportunity for all players involved.  We have 4 of the top coaches in Atlantic Canada who are going to run our development camp with assistance from the Macs coaching staff.  Players will get an opportunity to learn from the best in a very small group setting.



All sessions at the Civic arena

 
Sept 8th (Group 1 5:30pm Group 2 6:30pm) - Lead instructor will be Tyler Naugler.  Tyler is the head coach of Saint Mary's University Mens hockey program and has spent 18yrs in the role of assistant coach with SMU.  Tyler has had a hand in developing some of the provinces top players through his Nova Scotia Prospects Program
 
Sept 9th (Group 1 6:30pm Group 2 7:30pm)  - Lead instructor will be Chris Larade.  Chris is in his 9th season as Head Coach with the Saint Mary's Womens program where he has led the program to three AUS championships, and a CIS bronze medal in 2016.  Chris has won back to back AUS and CIS coach of the year awards in 2016 and 2017.
 
Sept 12th (Group 1 1:00pm Group 2 2:00pm)  - Lead instructor will be Troy Ryan.  Troy is the current Head Coach of the Canadian Womens National/Olympic Team.  Troy has head coaching experience in the MHL and the AUS and has been heavily involved in the HNS High Performance Program and Canadian Sports Centre Atlantic.  He was named coach of the year in the MHL on 4 separate occasions including 2008 when he led Pictou County to the Royal Bank Cup National Jr A Championship tournament.
 
Sept 13th (Group 1 12:00pm Group 2 1:00pm)   - Lead instructor will be Jim Midgley.  Jim is currently an asst coach with the Iserlohn Roosters of the German DEL professional league.  Prior to that he was Head coach of the Halifax Mooseheads.  Jim has 10 years coaching experience in the QMJHL as well as experience at the AUS level.  He has coached at the World U17 Championships as well as the Canada Games.
