Goalies


Nathan Mills #31
Nathan is a 2006 born goalie from Hammonds Plains.  He is returning to the Macs for his 2nd season, coming off an impressive 22-23 season where he finished 3rd in the league with a GAA of 2.59 and third in the league with a save percentage of .911.  Nathan is a draft pick of the Bathurst Titan and Campbellton Tigers
 
Sam Madgett #1
Sam is a 2007 born goalie from Stillwater Lake.  At 6’3 he is an imposing net minder who posted a tidy 2.93 GAA last season with the Cole Harbour Wolfpack.  Sam is a draft pick of the Halifax Mooseheads and Pictou Crushers.
 
Chandler Bell AP #33
Chandler is a 2008 born goalie from the Atlantic Championship Gulls program.  He led the U15 league in both GAA with 1.13 and save percentage with .933 with a record of 14-1 and 5 shut outs.  Extremely quick and never gives up on a play, we are excited to have Chandler with us this yr to further his development as his positive attitude and competitive nature fits the mold of this yrs squad.
 

Defense

 
Ben Lindsay #18
Ben is a 6’2 defenseman from Middle Sackville.  A draft pick of the Moncton Wildcats and Pictou Crushers,  Ben possesses strong puck moving skills and offensive ability as he is the highest scoring defenseman returning to the league this season with 4 goals and 19 assists last season in Cole Harbour.  Ben was also a member of the 2023 Canada Winter Games Mens Hockey Team. Ben was a U15 provincial champion in 2021-22 with the Rangers hockey club

Connor Foston #21
Connor hails from Middle Sackville, NS.  A 6 foot strong skating, right shot defensemen.  Connor will be hard to play against this season.  Connor is a draft pick of the Gatineau Olympiques and Edmundston Blizzard and was a member of the 2023 Canada Winter Games Team. Connor was a U15 provincial champion in 2021-22 with the Rangers hockey club
 
Gavin Sudds #22
Gavin is from Sydney, NS originally but is now calling Spryfield home.  The 2008 born dman possesses a nice combination of skill and grit having posted 7 goals and 14 assists last season to go along with 34 penalty minutes.  Gavin is a member of the Hockey NS U16 provincial team.

Kenzie Wagner #9
Kenzie is a 2007 defenseman returning to the Macs for a second season.  Last season was a strong one for Kenzie being named to the 2023 Canada Winter Games team along with being named to the NSU18MHL all rookie team.  “Wags” is a draft pick of the Charlottetown Islanders and Valley Wildcats and is best known for his bone jarring hits and physical play.

Logan Foote #24
Logan hails from Halifax and is a 2008 left shot dman.  Logan is an Atlantic Champion at the U15 level with the Gulls Hockey Club where he was the teams highest scoring defenseman with 4 goals, 24 assists and 48 penalty minutes last season.  Logan was named the U15 provincial tournaments top defenseman as well as first all star team defensemen in the U15 league.
 
Logan Trewin #11
Logan is from Halifax, NS and is a smooth skating, highly intelligent defender who put up 6-13-19-42 numbers last season with the Wolverines U15 club.  His vision in transition will be a key to the Macs quick transition this season.  Logan is a member of the Hockey NS U16 provincial team and was named 1st team all star at the Ice Jam tournament in January.
 
Riley Creelman #4
Riley hails from Halifax but applied his trade with the Cole Harbour U15 Major club last season where he was the leagues highest scoring defenseman with 9 goals and 32 assists in 32 games.  Riley was named the U15 leagues Top Defenseman, and to the first all star team.  He is also a member of the Hockey Nova Scotia U16 provincial team.
 

Forwards

 
Aaron Chipp #12
A member of the Gulls Atlantic Championship team, Aaron hails from Halifax.  Aaron put up 43 goals and 41 assists last season in 31 games while being named to the league all star team.  High intelligence, work ethic and a great stick are some of the traits Aaron possesses.  Aaron is a member of the Hockey Nova Scotia U16 provincial team and will be a player to watch this season.
 
Angus Proctor #14
Angus is a 2008 born Halifax native who skated last season with the Halifax Wolverines U15 club.  An intense competitor with great tools and a heavy shot, Angus will be a player that will be noticeable on the ice every shift due to his internal drive and competitiveness.  Angus is a member of the Hockey Nova Scotia U16 provincial team.
 
Danny Walters #20
Danny, a 2008 born center was a member of the Gulls U16 team that captured U15 provincial and Atlantic titles. Amassing 31 goals, 41 assists and 58 penalty minutes last season, Danny possesses a nice combination of skill, intelligence and grit.  Danny was a first team all star in the ice jam last season and is a member of the Hockey NS U16 provincial team.
 
Easton Schlender #15
Back for a second season after an extended stay at the Moncton Wildcats camp is Easton Schlender.  Easton is a strong skating, big bodied right winger who can wreak havoc on the forecheck and possesses a heavy shot.  Easton is a draft pick also of the Truro Bearcats.  Easton will excel using his speed to the outside this season, as well as his big body in the corners and net front where he will be a handful for opposing teams defenders.  Easton was named 1st team all star at the 2023 East Coast Ice Jam
 
Ethan Hines #8
Ethan is competing in the league for a second season.  In 2021-22 he was the leading scorer for the U15 provincial winning Rangers squad where he finished tied for 9th in league goal scoring with 23.  We are looking forward to Ethan having a breakout season with the macs, using his strong hockey sense and excellent release on the puck to contribute offensively.
 
Jacob Hartlin #23
Jacob hails from Halifax, NS and is another in the list of Hartlins having played for the Macs in past seasons.  A member of the Hockey NS U16 provincial team, Jacob is a strong two way right winger with intelligence and a nice touch around the net amassing 31 goals and 43 assists in 31 games last season.  Jacob was named to the league all star team as well as being named tournament MVP at the U15 provincials last season where he led the tournament in scoring with 15 pts in 6 games.

Luc Legere #7
Luc is a back for his second season with the Macs after a strong rookie campaign where he posted 11 goals and 14 assists in his rookie season.  Luc was a member of the 2023 Canada Winter Games squad and is a draft pick of the Bathurst Titan and Yarmouth Mariners.  Look for Luc to have a breakout year with the Macs and be a leader for the young club.

Luke Dooley #17
Luke comes to us from the Cole Harbour Wolfpack program where he had a very strong season posting 8 goals and 19 assists in 29 games.  Known for his intelligence and excellent work ethic, Luke routinely finds himself around the puck and involved in the play.  Look for a big year from Luke.  Luke was a member of the 2023 Canada Winter Games team and is a draft pick of the Pictou County Crushers. Luke was a U15 provincial champion in 2021-22 with the Rangers hockey club

Maddex Marmulak #19
Maddex is from Middle Sackville, and returning for a second season with the Macs.  Having grown almost 4 inches and gaining 20lbs in a single calendar year, Maddex has shown early on he is a much more confident player coming into this season.  Look for Maddex to turn some heads this year with his strong skating and offensive creativity.  Maddex is a draft pick of the Bathurst Titan and Yarmouth Mariners. Maddex was a U15 provincial champion in 2021-22 with the Rangers hockey club
 
Tristan Turner #10
Tristan hails from Upper Tantallon and was a member of the Atlantic Championship Gulls.  A 6’1 forward who can play Center or left wing, his long reach combined with his effortless stride will give defenders problems to the outside this season.  Tristan also possesses a nice touch around the net with 24-25-49 totals last season in 31 games.  Tristan is a member of the Hockey NS Provincial U16 team.

Will Shearer #16
A member of the Hockey NS U16 provincial team, Will has a great combination of skill and grit and plays hard in all 3 zones.  Will skated with the Wolverines U15 program where he put up 20-22-42 with 48 PIMS in 31 games last yr.  He has shown the ability to put the puck in the net as well as lay a punishing body check in the early going.
