Macs Add 3
2015-08-29The Macs are pleased to welcome the following new players to our family:
Aiden Hickey (1999 - Left Defense) - Valley Wildcats Major Midgets
Aiden comes to the Macs after spending last season with the Valley Wildcats Major Midgets. He is an intelligent defenseman with a great stick that sees the ice very well. He is very strong in transition, often finding the open forward quickly with an accurate outlet. Aiden played his Bantam hockey with the Bedford Barons major bantams
Josh Nicholson - (2000 - Left Defense) - Landworks Major Bantams
Josh plays the game aggressively and with no fear. His physical play will be a welcome addition to the Macs blue line this season as we strive to be a team that is tough to play against. Josh has been described by past coaches as the ultimate team guy that will do anything to help his team win. Josh compiled 5 goals and 9 assists in 32 games last year with the Gulls and also won an Atlantic Championship in his rookie bantam season. We look forward to working with Josh this year.
Cameron Scott - (1999 - C/RW) CIH Academy Ontario
A porters lake native, Cameron played his first year of Bantam in Cole Harbour, before heading to prep school in Ontario for two years. Cameron finished 5th in team scoring at CIH last year and is best described as a versatile forward who can play multiple positions and roles. Cameron is a 200ft player with solid offensive instincts. His former coach had nothing but good things to say about him as a person and described him as a great teammate who is highly coachable.

2 goaltenders, 9 defenceman and 14 forwards now remain in camp.
The Macs are back in action Sunday August 30th at 11:00am when they play their 3rd exhibition game of the season vs the South Shore Mustangs at the Halifax Forum
