Allison Signs with Carleton Place of CCHL

Congrats to Halifax Macs forward, Sam Allison on signing with the Carleton Place Canadians of the CCHL.
Congrats to Halifax Macs forward, Sam Allison on signing with the Carleton Place Canadians of the CCHL.
Carleton place are the 4 time defending CCHL champions. They have been to 4 Fred Page Cup Finals in the last 4 yrs and have been to the RBC National Jr A tournament 3 of the last 4 yrs, going to the finals of that tournament twice. The team has had over 15 NCAA D1 commitments in the past 2 yrs and are widely regarded as one of the best Jr A programs in the country.
Allison had a breakout 3rd season in the NSMMHL scoring 11 goals and 31 assists in 38 regular season games while adding 6pts in 9 playoff games.
"Sam has a keen interest in NCAA hockey and had a plan when he decided to come back for his 3rd yr of midget, that he wanted to move to a league in Ontario or BC to gain maximum exposure to college hockey. It was a decision he and his family struggled with as he had a very good major jr camp and Jr A camp last summer, but I believe patience has paid off for Sam and we are extremely happy for him. Alot of players at this level are in a rush to move on and Sam was patient, worked hard and has been rewarded" stated Head Coach Tim Boyce.
