Ormon returns as captain for 2017-18 Season

 
The Halifax McDonalds Major Midget hockey club are pleased to welcome back Matt Ormon to the club for the 2017-18 season and announce he will take on the role of Captain this season.

Ormon had a solid campaign during the 16-17 season posting 15 goals and 29 assists for 44 points during the regular season.  Matt will be relied upon to contribute offensively again this season.

He is the second Ormon to serve as club captain following his brother Nick who was captain during the 14-15 season.

"The players and staff are elated that Matt will be returning for the 17-18 season.  Matt comes from a great family first and foremost,  and exhibited all the characteristics we are looking for in a captain last yr while serving as an assistant captain.  Matt is a hard working, skilled player who is a personable young man and does not mind speaking up when needed.  Matt is excited and motivated to have a big year and that can only mean good things for our club and for Matt moving forward. " stated head coach Tim Boyce.
