Macs sign Leighton Carruthers

The Halifax McDonald's are very pleased to announce the signing of 2004 born forward, Leighton Carruthers.
Carruthers played this past season with the provincial champion Gulls Major Bantams where he finished tied for the league lead in goals with 40 and 4th in points with 61 in 31 games.
Leighton added 3 goals and 5 assists in 3 games during the NS provincial tournament and followed that up with 9pts in 4 games in the Atlantic Championships, capturing tournament MVP Honours.
Leighton has also been a member of the provincial U14 and U15 teams, winning gold with both teams.
We are excited to welcome Leighton to the Macs Family, one he is familiar with as his older brother Logan has played with the program for the past two seasons.
Leighton is a huge addition for our program for the upcoming season. He will add another talented young forward to our group who has size, skill and the ability to put the puck in the net.
We are assembling a team that scouts from all leagues and schools will definitely want to follow next season!
