Taylar Made Security Titans dominate majority of game, but drop season opener to Cole Harbour.

2009-09-19

The Taylar Made Security Titans outplayed the Cole Harbour Major Midgets on Saturday night, but came out on the wrong end of the score.

The Taylar Made Security Titans opened their season at the Halifax Forum on Saturday against the Cole Harbour Major Midgets, losing 4-1.

The Titans, for the most part, dictated the flow of the game, firing 61 shots on Cole Harbour goalie Spencer Scott. The Titans maintained a strong forecheck throughout the game, forcing numerous turnovers, which lead to several great scoring chances. In the other end of the rink, the Titans weren't as strong, making a few miscues in which Cole Harbour was able to capitalize on. The team must focus on their commitment to defence, and be accountable in all aspects of the game in order to be successful.

Richard Tingley stopped 25 shots, as well as chipping in offensively with an assist on Brandon Boutilier's power play goal in the third period.

The Taylar Made Security Titans are back in action on Sunday at 12:30 at the Civic Arena, when the Pictou County Weeks come to town.
