Taylar Made Security Titans team up with local minor hockey associations for Hockey Nova Scotia's Development Weekend program.

Titans players and coaches to work with both Tasa and Halifax Minor Hockey Associations this weekend.

The Taylar Made Security Titans are looking to give back to the minor hockey community this weekend as part of Hockey Nova Scotia's Development Weekend program.

This Saturday and Sunday, the Titans players will be in St. Margaret's to work with the TASA Minor Hockey Association, working with young hockey players both on and off the ice. They will be conducting mini small area 3-on-3 games, as well as off-ice fitness testing. The Titans coaching staff and other hockey knowledgeable individuals will also be putting on several information sessions for both players and parents, which include issues such as injury management, game preparation and player expectations.

Also, the Titans will be providing some on-ice instruction for several PeeWee teams in the Halifax Hawks organization on Saturday afternoon. These gives the Titans players and staff the opportunity to go on the ice with the team for a practice, and work with the players and team coaches to help develop both individual skills and team tactics.

The Titans are proud to boast three players on their 2009-2010 roster that have graduated from the TASA Minor Hockey Association. Rookie winger Tyler Mathieu played Bantam AAA for the TASA Ducks in 2008-2009, while defenseman Brody Power and captain Brandon Boutilier, both second year players, played with TASA Bantam AAA in 2007-2008. These players are looking forward to the opportunity to work with young hockey players from their area.

The Titans are also proud to have four players that came to the program from the Halifax Hawks organization. First year defenseman Mark Falkenham, second year winger Andrew Graham, and third year forwards Spencer Cameron and Alex Zafiris all played their minor hockey with the Hawks, and all are looking forward to getting on the ice to help with the development with the young Halifax Hawks.

The Taylar Made Security Titans are excited to be working with both the TASA and Halifax Minor Hockey Associations for Development Weekend. It affords the players a chance to interact with both players, coaches and families from each organization, and actively help develop these young males and females into not only strong hockey players, but also solid, all-around individuals.
