Taylar Made Security Titans drop Cole Harbour 5-3.

The Taylar Made Security Titans defeated the Cole Harbour Major Midgets 5-3 on Wednesday night in Cole Harbour.

The Titans played strong, committed defense on Wednesday night, and that combined with timely goals and stellar goaltending, they were able to beat Cole Harbour by a score of 5-3.

The Titans are now 17-2 and sit atop of the league standings, tied with Cole Harbour (16-4-1-1), each having 34 points on the season.

Andrew Graham opened the scoring for the Titans at the 2:13 mark of the first period, and Adam Stevens cashed in on a rebound with 5 seconds left in the period to make it 2-0 for the Titans going into the first intermission.

The Titans scored three goals in the second frame, including a blast from defenseman Kevin Jackson on a short-handed rush at 15:56 of the period.

Mitchell Henneberry scored the eventual game-winner at the 11:17 mark, and Justin Keizer converted on a goal-mouth scramble at 2:28 to make it 5-2 after two periods.

Richard Tingley had a strong third period, stopping 11 shots, and preserving the win for the Titans. Tingley stopped 36 shots to take the win.

The Titans are back in action this Saturday when they head to the Dartmouth Sportsplex to take on the Dartmouth Subways. Puck drop is 7:30PM.
