World Under 17 Championships

2011-11-28

The Halifax TaylarMade Security Titans had three current players and one former named to this year’s Team Atlantic Male Under 17 squad.

Defensemen Brett McNeil and Alex MacNeil along with goaltender Jacob Fancy will travel to Windsor, Ontario to take part in the 2012 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge December 29, 2011 to January 4, 2012.  Former Titan, Ryan Falkenham, now a member of the Halifax Mooseheads, was also named to the team.

McNeil, a 5’8, 170lbs defenseman from Halifax currently has 15 points in 17 league games for the Titans and will be counted on to provide offense from the back end for the Atlantic squad.

MacNeil, a 5’11, 190lbs defenseman also from Halifax, has 5 points in 13 games this season. He is a strong defensive player who is tough to beat one on one and is extremely effective on the penalty kill.

Fancy, a 5’11, 175lbs goaltender from Lower Sackville leads the NSMMHL in wins with 8 and posts a 1.56 GAA and .930 Save %. He is a draft pick of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the QMJHL.

Congratulations to all these Titans and best of luck in Windsor!
