2012-02-12The Halifax Taylar Made Security Titans began a berth for a spot in Atlantics this week end by taking on the Cape Breton Tradesmen in round 1.
The Team opened the series on a rainy Saturday with a 4-1 win. Goal scorers were Jeremy Butterworth, Jack Patterson, John Mullally and an empty netter by Alex Hazelhurst.
On Sunday, it was a much tighter game with a penalty shot awarded to each team, some fast hockey and a competitive game. The Titans came out the winners with a 5-3 score. Contributors were John Mullally (2), Bradley MacEachen (2) and Jordan Yochoff.
The Titans head to Cape Breton next week end in an effort to clinch the series. First game is Saturday, Feb 18 at 7pm at the County arena.
