Titans take two wins from Moncton and Saint John
The Halifax Titans had a successful weekend past as the NB-PEI MMHL made the trip down to play the NSEMMHL teams in interlocking play.
On Saturday, the Titans welcomed perennial contender Moncton Flyers to the Civic. The Titans came out strong early on, and continued the effort all game long, taking the game 5-1. Jordan Yochoff led the way for the Titans (2G, 2A) while Campbell Pickard, John MacDonald and Nick Welsh provided singles. Nick Dawe was very good in the nets all game with 32 saves.
On Sunday, the Titans welcomed the Saint John Vitos to the Halifax Forum. Both teams came out very physical and the game went back and forth with the lead changing a few times. Nothing was settled in regulation and the teams went into overtime tied at 5-5.
With only 11 seconds left in the extra frame, defenseman Ryan MacEachen was the hero as the Titans took the 6-5ot win. Jack Patterson led the way offensively (1G, 3A) while Daniel Little, Jordan Bezanson, Adam Clarke, Jordan Yochoff provided singles. Ethan Marsh also had 3 assists. Jacob Dempsey faced a lot of action and made 34 saves for the win.
