Titans add Fougere to Bench Staff

The Halifax Titans Major Midget Hockey Club are pleased to announce that Mike Fougere has been added to the club as an assistant coach for the 2013-14 season.
Fougere a former player with the Halifax Midget program went on to play with the Halifax Oland Exports of the MHL, winning a Royal Bank Cup National Championship in 2002.
After completing a successful Junior 'A' career with a Royal Bank Cup to his name, Mike joined the Acadia Axemen of the CIS, where he played for three seasons and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. While with the Axemen, Fougere was awarded the Most Improved Player during the 2002-2003 season, and won an AUS league championship in 2005-2006.
Upon graduating from Acadia, Fougere played professionally in the United States (SPHL), and also spent time playing in the highly competitive Newfoundland Senior Hockey League.
The 31 year old Fougere has been coaching in the MHL for 4 years with the Metro and Bridgewater franchises.
“I am extremely excited that Mike has agreed to join our program. He brings a great work ethic, passion for the game of hockey and has a great amount of knowledge having played and won at some of the highest levels. Mike will be a great addition to our staff and I am sure the players will enjoy working with him on a day to day basis.” Stated Head Coach Tim Boyce
