Welsh Drafted to USHL, Fancy/Hazelhurst Win Fred Page

Congratulations go out to Halifax Titans defenceman, Nick Welsh who was selected with the 14th pick of the 8th round in the USHL draft by the Sioux Falls Stampede yesterday.  Welsh was one of two Nova Scotians taken in the draft to USA's premier junior hockey league.

The USHL has produced 222 NHL hockey players and 291 players have received college committments from this highly skilled league.

Also, Congrats go out to Titans Alumni, Jacob Fancy and Alex Hazelhurst on capturing the Fred Page Cup Eastern Canadian Jr A Championship with an exciting OT win over the Summerside Capitals on Sunday in Truro.  Truro will now head to the Royal Bank Cup in Summerside next week.  Good luck guys!
