Macs return from Cape Breton with 4 points

The Halifax McDonald's travelled to Port Hood this weekend to battle the Cape Breton West Islanders for two contests.
The Halifax McDonald's travelled to Port Hood this weekend to battle the Cape Breton West Islanders for two contests.
Saturday evening the Macs outshot their opponents 52-24 and skated to a 5-2 win.
Scoring for the macs were Luc Poirier with 2 (+2 assists), Johhny Jones (+ 2 assists), Patrick Stewart, and Daniel Little.
Reilly Pickard took the win in goal with 22 saves.
Sunday the Macs outshot their opponents 63-17 en route to a 7-2 win.
Jordan Yochoff led the attack with 2 goals and 1 assist. Jones (1-1), Shawn Hubley (1-1), Justin Doiron (1-1), Daniel Little (1-1) and Cody Grant with his first major midget goal rounded out the scoring.
Justin Ritcey made 15 saves for the win.
The Macs are back in action this coming weekend when they take on Newbridge Academy Saturday at the Sportsplex, and face the Valley Wildcats for the 3rd time this season at home Sunday (Forum 12:30pm)
