The Halifax McDonalds continued their strong start to the NSEMMHL season with wins vs Newbridge and Valley this weekend
The Halifax McDonalds continued their strong start to the NSEMMHL season with narrow wins vs Newbridge and Valley this weekend.
The team was certainly tested being taken to overtime by Newbridge Saturday night with a 3-2 win despite outshooting their opponents 42-25.
Sunday the Macs needed a shoot out to beat the Wildcats 5-4. Jordan Yochoff scored the only shoot out goal and Justin Ritcey stopped all three shooters to seal the win.
The Macs are off to the clubs best start since the 2008-09 season when the team won 11 consecutive games to start the season.
The Macs are back on home ice Wednesday when they take on the South Shore Mustangs at the Forum. Game time is 7:00pm
