Pink in the Rink vs CBW 2013

The Halifax McDonald’s are pleased to announce we will be hosting their own version of “Pink in the Rink” again this season. Our game on Sunday October 6 against the Cape Breton West Islanders will be the official Pink in the Rink game for 2013.

Breast cancer is a complex disease that will affect 1 in 9 Canadian women during their lifetime. In 2013, it is estimated that 23,800 Canadian women and 200 Canadian men will be diagnosed with breast cancer.

Our goal is to help increase the awareness of breast cancer in hope that more men and women will know about the risk factors.

We will be collecting donations during the game for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. We ask that fans in attendance to wear some pink to show their support.
