Macs take "Home & Home" series vs Weeks

Weeks Home & Home Wrap-up
On Saturday the Macs traveled to Pictou County for another battle against the Weeks Major Midgets.
Weeks' Johnston opened the scoring 45 seconds into the game with the first shot on goal. Halifax fired back with 7 unanswered goals from Poirier (2), Yochoff, Jones, Doiron, Boucher and Dachyshyn. Justin Ritcey made 29 saves to back-stop the team's 12 straight win of the season.
The following Wednesday night these two teams met again under the lights of the Eastlink TV cameras for the 3rd time in 11 nights.
This game was much closer seeing both teams tied at 1 until the final minutes of the 3rd period.
Luc Poirier broke the deadlock with 4:37 remaining in the game and Yochoff sealed the deal on an empty net to secure the Macs 13th straight win.
Reilly Pickard made 28 saves for the win and Weeks' Williams stopped 41 shots fired his way.
