Top Teams Clash on Eastlink TV
2013-12-03
Cole Harbour at Halifax
This Wednesday two of the NSEMMHL’s top teams are set to do battle on what could be the most exciting game of the Eastlink TV broadcast schedule.
The 17-4 Halifax McDonalds (tied for 2nd) play host to the 1st place 18-2-0-1 Cole Harbour Pro Hockey Life Wolfpack. Both teams have had some incredible and similar success so far this season.
The Halifax McDonalds stormed out of the gate going undefeated for their first 13 games while Cole Harbour has gone undefeated for their past 16 games. Both teams also respectively made it to the semi finals of the recent Monctonian Challenge taking their opponents to overtime to settle the game. There’s also an underlying storyline that also cannot be ignored. The 16 game winning streak has tied the longest winning streak in the NSEMMHL. The 2009/2010 Halifax franchise is the holder of this record. Cole Harbour head coach Jon Greenwood knows the importance of this record as he was an assistant coach for Halifax when the record was set.
Game time this Wednesday is at 7pm in the Forum. If you are unable to make it to the rink this game will also be broadcasted on Eastlink TV (check your local listings)
