The weather outside may have been frightful but that didn’t stop members of the Halifax McDonalds from delivering some holiday cheer. On Monday night members of the Macs (Ryan MacEachen, Justin Doiron, Jordan Bezanson, Ethan Marsh, Patrick Stewart, head coach Tim Boyce and off-ice officials Cliff & Shyla Blair) delivered a Christmas hamper in Dartmouth to a family in need.
This Christmas the McDonalds partnered with Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank to sponsor a family. The team collected nearly $500 in cash and over $200 in gifts. This allowed them to supply a family of 6 with a full Christmas dinner, the presents for under the tree and even a cash donation to Parker Street.
More often the success of teamwork is shown on the ice but in this case it was a true team effort off the ice. The organization would like to thank the players, parents and staff for all their efforts and contributions and wish everyone a Merry Christmas
