Congrats go out to current Macs centerman Barrett Dachyshyn who was drafted earlier this month  with the 14th pick of the 4th round in the USHL draft.  Barrett was selected by the Sioux City Musketeers.  The USHL is the top junior league in the United States and produces numerous NCAA division 1 players each year as well as many NHL draft picks.  

After a highly successful season, finishing 5th in Canada the Macs have 8 players listed on the final QMJHL CSR list for the upcoming draft (May 31st).  Good luck guys!

Alumni News

Good Luck to former Macs, Brody Power and Brennan Saulnier as they have both committed to NCAA hockey programs for the 2014-15 season.  Power, a defenseman with the North York Rangers of the OJHL committed to the Buffalo State Bengals. After a successful season that saw Brennan post 49pts in 60 games in the highly competitive AJHL with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, Brennan recently signed his national letter of intent to join Alabama Huntsville to study and play NCAA Division 1 hockey for the 2014-15 season.

Alumni Andrew Wigg wrapped up a successful sophomore season with the Plymouth State Panthers NCAA D3 club finishing 4th in team scoring with 24pts in 27 games.

Jake Bullen finished his 1st season at RMC with the Paladins with a respectable 10pts in 26 games in the highly competitive OUA East conference.

Mike Couch finished his 8th season of professional hockey with the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League.  The Sundogs advanced to the league semi finals before being dispatched by the Denver Cutthroats 4 games to 1.

Alumni Jacob Fancy and Brandon Boutilier won a Kent Cup championship this year with the Truro Bearcats.
 
Former Macs goalie Brandon Whitney completed a busy season with the Victoriaville Tigres of the QMJHL where he appeared in 41 games posting a GAA of 3.25 and a save percentage of 0.906. Brandon was a draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2012 NHL entry draft.
 
Goaltender Mason McDonald capped off a great QMJHL season by representing Canada at the U18 Ivan Hlinka Tournament.  Mason was named the tournaments top goalie and is the top rated goalie in the QMJHL for the upcoming NHL draft.  Good Luck Mason!
 
Forward Kyle Campbell capped off a successful year with the Yarmouth Mariners of the MHL by committing to York University to study and play hockey during the 2014-15 season.  Congrats Kyle!
