Macs have banner day at QMJHL draft

For the second straight year, your 2014 Atlantic Champion Halifax McDonalds were the leaders in Atlantic Canada with 6 players taken at todays QMJHL entry draft.

Last years club had 5 players chosen in the 2013 draft.

 Congrats to all NSEMMHL players taken today and to the following Macs players who will be attending a QMJHL camp in August with the goal of playing Major Junior hockey

Reilley Pickard – Baie Comeau Drakkar – Round 2,  38^th overall
Barrett Dachyshyn – Halifax Mooseheads – Round 3,  57^th overall
Morgan Nauss – Halifax Mooseheads Round 5,  79^th overall
Johnny Jones – Rouyn Noranda Huskies Round 5, 86^th overall
Jacob Hickey – Blainville Broisbriand Armada Round 7, 125^th overall
Cody Grant – Saint John Sea Dogs Round 8, 131^st overall.
