Macs Players Win Scholarship Awards

The Halifax McDonalds Major Midget Hockey Club is pleased to announce that four additional Macs will each receive a $500 scholarship to the post secondary institutions they will be attending in the fall.
Veteran Macs Justin Doiron, Ethan Marsh, Jordan Yochoff and Carter Piercey were notified on Tuesday by Coach Tim Boyce that they will receive the scholarships thanks to the generosity from an Anonymous Donor and Deloitte.
At a time with ever increasing post secondary costs any additional support is more than appreciated. Coach Boyce indicated the four mentioned players were very surprised and grateful to hear the news.
Defenseman Carter Piercey wanted to “thank the team for giving me this scholarship. I enjoyed my time here and would recommend this organization to any player wanting to play Major Midget”
