Macs Make Major Junior Jump

Boucher with Screaming Eagles
Congratulations go out to MACS alumni Johnny Jones, Reilly Pickard, Dillon Boucher and Morgan Nauss on cracking QMJHL lineups for the 2014-15 season.
Jones, a 5th round pick will be suiting up with the Rouyn Noranda Huskies this coming season having impressed coaches with his puck skill and speed.
Nauss, a 5th round pick of the Halifax Mooseheads impressed at camp with his poise and decision making with the puck and has earned a roster spot.
Pickard, will join brother and former Halifax Major Midget forward Campbell on the Baie Comeau Drakkar this year as he has won one of two goalie positions with the club showing great technical ability and poise for a young netminder.
Boucher, a 2013 draft pick of the eagles, crashed and banged his way onto the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles roster and is currently enjoying a trip to Russia with the club.
Another MAC, Barrett Dachyshyn impressed at Mooseheads camp but chose to return to midget to preserve his NCAA eligibility and continue to develop while being a key contributor to this years club.
Barrett was a 3rd round pick of the Mooseheads and also a 4th round pick of the Sioux City Muskateers of the USHL this year.
Well done guys. It’t great seeing our players impressing at higher levels, and realizing their dreams through hard work and dedication.
